How is the All-on-4 system different than conventional implants?
With All-on-4 dentures, four implants are placed in the jaw. Ordinary implant dentures use more: generally, eight to ten per arch. To replace all of your teeth (upper and lower) you would need 16-20 implants.
The way the All-on-4 posts are set in the jaw bone is different as well. With this procedure, the rear posts are surgically implanted at an angle.
